Great place, lovely views and a friendly atmosphere.
Great place to go. Millies cafe and shop is wonderful. The best cakes and reasonable prices.
A lovely clean, quiet site in a picturesque part of Leicestershire. We never ventured into town just chilled out on the field all weekend. Definitely going back here as it's only 40 mins from us. I think we've found our local "go to"! Loved it.
A great place to camp or caravan. All pitches have water and electric. The place is high on top of a hill with great views. At night it can get a little chilly and windy. All staff are very friendly and the cafe is well worth a visit, all cakes are made on site, by young staff. We will visit again . Showers and toilet block has central heating and there is disability parking.
Great caravan site very friendly and helpful would recommend and we will return soon
Millie's farm shop cafe is a regular lite bite stop for me on my cycling route, the owner & staff are always very welcoming, the food is excellent, very reasonably priced, their home baked cakes are to die for! I recommend a visit on an empty tummy,.or skip the diet for another day!
We took our caravan here for a lovely 6 nights stop, great cafe on site. The site has loads of well kept pitches, the facilities are good. Would certainly come back again.
A lovely warm welcome and really nice clean facilities, excellent farm shop with a cafe on site too. All the pitches are either grass or hard standing and all with electric hook up as well. Every pitch is perfectly flat, my only gripe is £1 for a shower granted this gives you 10 mins, but come on at £35 a night the showers should be included.
Lovely tea room setting both in and out. Selling cooked and fresh filled roller home made cakes hot and cold drinks in a lively feild like setting. You can camp and take on a mobile camper van. There's wash rooms toilets and a farm shop selling veg fruit and logs. Like it😁
We stayed here in a campervan for one night Very clean well kept pitches , there is a lovely cafe/farm shop on sight that makes delicious bacon and sausage baps and the toilets and showers were spotlessly clean . We took the dog for very nice walk into Barrow via the bridle path ,the hunting lodge pub which had a large beer garden and real ales was a 25 mins walk away. We would definitely come again.
Lovely quiet site. Very clean facilities, friendly and helpful staff. Wonderful coffee shop on site that sell farm produce, home baked goods and farm produce. Good dog walks and picturesque countryside nearby. We have been there three times and are already planning our next stay!
What a lovely Site Absolutely Spotless & the staff were really nice & helpful. Some hard standings with plenty of room. Showers were really clean & though they are a £1.00 You now get 10 minutes of lovely hot water & loads of room to dry yourself. Fabulous Coffee /Farm Shop too. Thoroughly enjoyed the dog walks. Will be back soon Pauline & Basil
Lovely surroundings and the perfect little countryside, tea room. The ladies behind the counter know about their products and are delightful to talk to. The little tea shop is often open during the week and also sells lovely jams, handmade cards and some knickknacks that are good for presents.
Nice site with good facilities and views, only negative thing was the £1 charge for a (short) 4 minute shower. In reality £30 a night is very close to Caravan & Motorhome Club rates, where everything is included. There was no mention anywhere or by anyone, even at reception or on any literature that showers were extra, and 4 minutes isn’t really long enough for a female particularly. Almost as if they didn’t want you to know til you were paid up and on site. Came across as a little stingy and spoiled what would have been a 5 star review. Otherwise, a decent site in a good location.
Nice cafe and shop, staff very friendly, toasties to die for, site very quiet and clean, got everything you need, Barrow 18 minutes walk away, co op and pubs.
Peaceful place, lovely views and having nice weather always helps. On site coffee and cakes shop with other items available. Carrot cake is amazing, as is lemon drizzle our diet went out the window this weekend. Ice cream is expensive but you get what you pay for, its quality stuff. We will certainly return. Enjoyed walking into Barrow upon Soar along the bridal path. Great food shops along old fashioned High Street. Then down to Riverside pubs for walking along side river very relaxing. Site owners very helpful also facilities clean and well maintained.
Really nice place. Lovely outlook over toward bradgate Park. Toilet block really well kept. Great having a cafe and farm shop on site.
Always a pleasant HELLO from the lovely staff. Coffees always spot on. Stamped card available for FREE coffee every so many. Views are nice. Outside seating and covered seating if you wish. Cakes are Lush. Shame Bacon Cobs are not available but that’s my personal like. Go say hello as I’m sure you will be made welcome and get a nice tea or coffee.
Picked this lovely sight to explore barrow & surrounding villages. A pleasant welcome explaining we’re everything was & then showing us to the pitch with splendid views over the soar valley. Everything on this sight is to a very high standard & attention to detail. Friendly staff I love the small tea rooms on sight al the nice little treats as well the grounds came round on a daily basis removing any rubbish for us. This is a credit to the owners & all staff we will return in the year when our busy work schedule allows us to chill out 👏👏😁👌
really nice place shame prices have gone up to £30.00 per night and still charging £1.00 for a shower afraid out priced us for coming back
Lovely cafe and produce shop. Always a good selection of amazing cakes with different options every time I go. Lunches (toasties) are great too. Sells quality fresh farm produce and gift chutneys etc too. Lovely surroundings near the horses - can't go wrong!
Just returned from a two night stay with our caravan. The site is well maintained, the warden was very helpful and the facilities were spotless. There are excellent views over adjacent countryside and the onsite farm shop and tea shop are an added bonus. The site is conveniently located for visiting many places of interest in the surrounding area e.g. Bradgate Park and and local villages, Loughborough Town whilst the village of Barrow on Soar with a choice of pubs, take aways and shops is only a steady 15 minute stroll away. Highly recommended site.
It was a lovely campsite the Farm shop has a good range of cakes , veg and do lovely lattes.
We had a fabulous weekend, and looking forward to our next visit. Wonderful facilities, excellent views, bonus a super cafe/farm shop. All staff absolutely great. Love it love it.
Just had four nights at this lovely site with American 5th wheel.Welcoming friendly staff spotless toilets well maintained grass pitches.Easy access from road no problem through village.
My self and my wife stayed here on August bank holiday. We cant say thank enough from booking in at the very last minute. On arriving the wardens mets you at the car and is very polite and helpful. As for Janet the owner she is lovely & very helpful, and all the staff are very polite and they all made you feel at home, The whole site is so clean & dog friendly Spotless showers & toilets. The on site farm shop is a must to vist and sample some of there cakes, we cant wait to book in again for a weekend away
From the point driving through the gates you couldn't ask for a better welcome, the staff are lovely. Excellent place to stay, very clean and facilities are the best I have seen. Great value for money, lovely farm shop( great ice cream). Will DEFINITELY be going back again. Thank you for a lovely stay.
Just had 3 nights on this very clean and tidy well looked after site . Lovely farm shop/cafe with nice coffee and cakes to die for. We will definitely be back to stay with them again.
Great value for your money, Fantastic views Very friendly members of staff and also very welcoming. Definitely will be going again.
Initially booked in for 5 nights in this adults only site, that allows dogs and extended our stay for another 3 night, loved the site, and will be back.
A well run lovely coffee/ farm shop. Useful starting point for walks. Coffee was great with a variety of milks to choose from and some gifty type things to buy. Also fruit and vegetables and eggs on sale.
Review for campsite, I'll review Mille's Cafe and Farm Shop elsewhere. Lovely flat, adult-only campsite comprising 3 'fields'; hardstanding with EHU, grass with EHU and grass tent with EHU on one side only. Good soil, not rocky. Friendly staff, issue a binbag on arrival which they'll uplift if left out each morning and replace if wanted. Wheelchair-accessible toilet/shower and separate ladies and gents toilets/showers that are immaculate in a block that also includes dishwashing sinks and washing machine and tumble dryer. Noise from access road not an issue for me and there's a hum from the A6 down in the valley that carries up. Beautiful open views mean a welcome cooling breeze with morning sunshine and evening sunsets - can't say what it's like when weather isn't wall-to-wall sunshine! Would certainly come again.
My friends and I had a great stay. The site was very clean and well kept and the views were beautiful. Brian was so helpful and even drove us in to the village with our bags as we needed to catch a bus. We will definitely be back!
Beautiful campsite we were very impresses with the friendly and helpful staff. The whole site was extremely well looked after and the toilets and shower rooms were modern and amazingly clean. To top it all off it was surrounded by fields with horses running around and rolling hills. We will definatly be visiting again
Visited the cafe food and cakes were excellent staff were friendly and helpful 😄
Lovely well cared for site with some great walks. Showers and toilets immaculate but thought it was greedy to charge extra to use the showers when paying £22 a night to pitch.
